My sketchbook is one of the most intimate relationships I have. Within it I share my sketches, ideas, notes in meetings, and my deepest artistic desires. I carry it with me almost every where I go- when I forget it I feel as though I am being separated from a limb or if I had a child my child. I believe that each artists sketchbook is a window into their soul and to their thinking process.  As I say goodbye to a very good friend of mine who has been with me for 2 or 3 months- I embrace the possibility of blank pages- and a blank canvas.
