Many people ask me why do I love her so much- she is "so weird". Yes, she is strange but what fascinates me about her is her ability to launch ART which is a dying cultural entity into the mainstream.  I love and respect her artistry.  

What ArtPop represents really in my opinion is releasing Art from restraints much like Pop Art did in the 1950's. Pop art presented challenges to traditional fine art- by pulling elements from popular culture.  Often taken the elements were taken out of their original context and represented, taking elements from advertising and comic books.
